Wellington has two speeds. From January through April the equestrian season fills the village, horses change hands and the paperwork moves at that pace. The rest of the year it is a large, settled family suburb, and the work looks completely different.
Bills of sale, agreements between owners and trainers, transport and boarding paperwork, and the affidavits that go with a sale where the parties are in different countries. A notarized signature is often the piece a buyer's side insists on before money moves.
Two practical notes. Witnesses, where a document calls for them, are yours to arrange; the notary cannot serve as one or supply them. And a document heading overseas frequently needs a further certification from the state after notarization, which we do not currently handle. Away from the show grounds Wellington is ordinary suburban work, and there is a lot of it. Refinances, vehicle and vessel titles, school and travel consent letters for a child flying without both parents, powers of attorney for an ageing parent.
Most of it happens at home in the evening, once people are back from work and the house is quiet.
Wellington is the farthest west we regularly travel, and it is a genuine drive from Palm Beach Gardens rather than a hop. Same-day is usually workable, but it depends on when you call and what the road is doing.
